kde problem on slackware 13.0


installed slackware 13.0 clean install from slackware 12.0
setup x org and than tried to launch kde
previous version 12.0 i had 0 problems
new version kde locks up computer
can i keep new version of linux but keep old version of kde
only been using linux for a bit so if possible id
need step by step instructions
any help plz!!!

You tried to upgrade from 9.0 to 13.0?
I would suggest you to do clean install
