KDE does not start screensavers (Slack 10)

I have a strange problem, KDE cannot start my screensavers even though all screensavers are working fine. If I'm logged in and run xscreensaver from the command line and then close xscreensaver, KDE can start screensavers perfectly fine. I really regret having got rid of Slack 9.1, everything seemed to work fine out of the box for me and it's been more of a hassle with 10.0.

Ok, I got a solution, I had to create a shell script to start xscreensaver and put it in .kde/Autostart.

I would think KDE has its own screensavers which are managed in Control Center or Right click the desktop and Desktop settings (or parameters I can't remember)

But xscreensaver works well too and xscreensaver-command tool is usefull

I could change the screensavers in the KDE control centre and adjust their settings, but they just wouldn't start for any user. I had to write a shell script to autostart the screensavers, which was a good thing coz now I am determined to learn shell scripting.
