unknown mime types

Hi all,

sorry I was lazy and did not make notice from the error message, thy system complained, that the mime types in the kde3 desktop files are unknown.

Earlier I had the same problem and that time it was enough to remove the proprietary nvidia vga driver and start the X-server with the "nv" drover once. As the $HOME/.kde was written by this one start the nvidia driver could be set again and there were no further problems.

I attempted the same now (32 bit version) and removed the nvidia driver, loaded nv, but still "unknown mime types"

I know the mime problem from kde 3.5.10 from slackware 12.2 in combination with nvidia driver that are newer than 177.82.
kde 4x has problems with nividia drivers that are not newer than 177.82.
strange kde only problem
(and I am not happy to hear that kde 3.5.10 for slackware 13 does have the same problem because that means that I can not downgrade kde)
