Invisible KRDC connection ... How?

Hi all,

I am attempting to disable the taskbar notification popup that happens when you use KDE Remote Desktop.

The reason that I would like a more anonymous connection is simply to remotely monitor my young teenagers evenings homework and study activities ... to ensure that he doesn't get distracted on the internet with games, chat ...etc.

After checking all the krdc program options, searching through all the files in the filesystem having anything to do with 'krdc', reading the krdc manual, extensive googling and finally lots of searching on this forum ... I am unable to find out how to turn off the KDE remote desktop "User has connected" popup icon that appears on his system whenever I connect.

Is there a way that I can disable that popup on my boys computer, so that everynow and again I can have a quick peek on his system during his study hours to make sure he isn't wasting his time, without me having to go into his room or disturb him?

All systems involved are running Slack12.1 & KDE 3.5.10.

Thanks in advance for any assistance.

There's a section in the Control Centre--> Sounds & Multimedia--> System Notifications. Click the drop down box for the Event source, select Desktop Sharing. See if you can disable it there.
