Installing Slackware on Dell XPS 13 using USB stick and USB Type C->Type A adapter
Has anyone tried installing Slackware on Dell XPS 13 using USB stick and USB Type C-Type A adapter like this https://www.ebay.com/itm/16542285992...ABFBMvqy8oNhg? Is Slackware USB stick correctly identified by EFI and Slackware installer?
No, but I have a SSD USB attached to my laptop with a simple cable: USB type C on one end, USB type A on the other end. IMHO: less connectors, less risks of bad connection. To connect an USB stick, a converter all in one (no cable) should be enough.
Nothing comes up in the F12 boot menu and the USB is not powered at boot (leds are off on the USB drive). Booting only appears to work for the type A ports when I plug the drive in directly.
