Hi,

Did you try the 'apci = off' along with the 'noapic'.

well I tried hugesmp.s noapic apci=off but it still didn't work! This is driving me nuts!!! Any other ideas/info would be appreciated...

A couple of things - you did check the md5sum of the installation media didn't you ?

You have setup and enabled a swap file ?

Just a stab in the dark really..

Yes on both and I have actually used these CDs before on another 2 PCs. So they are good CDs. Thanks for the info...
