I recently installed slackware current on my computer, right now i have a problem where after boot, instead of the login screen i get a black screen, a cursor that doesnt blink, and a normal cursor that i can move, if i Alt+Ctrl+F2 and log in, i can startx normally, why do i get this problem and how do i fix it?
Thanks for help in advance
Did you login through the SDDM graphical login? If so, did you look at the desktop dropdown in the bottom of the screen? Did you perhaps start the 'Wayland' desktop instead of the 'Plasma5' desktop?
The Wayland desktop needs some additional love to make it work, so if that was the one you selected, pick the other one instead and afterwards, it will have become your new default desktop selection.

Hey Tekniqall, welcome to Slackware and the LQN subsection. To get more help you need to post some details about your graphics hardware (and, hopefully, driver) and whether or not you default to runlevel 3 (MultiUser CLI) or runlevel 4 (X environment). IOW did you edit /etc/inittab or not?
