[SOLVED] How do I send keyboard input to multiple windows simultaneously?

Real world application:

I run multiple game windows using wine, so I would like to press a key in an active window and have the same key sent to few other windows simultaneously (multi-boxing). These other windows could be background or minimized.

Been searching for some time, but couldn't really pin down on what works. Wine does NOT support global hotkeys, and MS Win multiboxing softwares (autohotkey, hotkeynet, ISBoxer etc) don't really work in WINE.

would xdotool work from the main/active game window?

I wonder if Screen might do what you're asking. It's a multiplexer but I don't recall if it can send input to all screens. There's tmux also but I know less about that.

found the solution, using a combination of bbkeys and xdotool, i can grab and send to predefined windows, including minimized windows.

So, multiboxing in linux works, in a way.
