while i was in kde i changed my res. to a higher one. after i restarted my session kde came up all screwed up, like if my monitor doesnt support the res. i picked. is there anyway to reset kde to its default settings, or fix my res? TIA
Best thing I can tell you to do is from the command line, issue the following commands:
cd /etc/X11/ pico XF86Config
Now, go down to the screens section and set your resolutions for each of the color depths. I can't find anything KDE specific. As close as I got was that the KDE configuration files are located in /opt/kde/share/config/. Hope this helps.
It would be a pain in the ass for you to do that because KDE installs more than just one package, but several. You're better off just trying to edit your XF86Config file. You can, however, use Swaret to upgrade KDE if there is one. I don't know if it will override your previous settings, but you can try.
