GNOME Help

Hello, Both KDE and GNOME 2.4 use ~/Desktop, and this has caused alot of conflictions for me, I set up my KDE desktop with the icons I wanted, then I booted GNOME, because I like both. GNOME displayed my KDE icons and they were uglified and I dont want them on my GNOME desktop, then I added my GNOME icons, I booted KDE again and the gnome icons were on there with my broken gnome ones, and I had deleted the KDE ones off of my desktop, they were gone. What I want to know is, is there anyway I can change the directory that GNOME uses for its Desktop shortcuts? GNOME and KDE are conflicting badly and I want to change this. Thank you.

=====Added=========

Okay, I found out what to do: I had to change KDE's directory, Right click onto your desktop then "Configure Desktop" then click on "Paths" and change your desktop path
