automount cd and usb memory in gnome 2.8 testing sarge with gnome-volume-manager gvm
hi
iīm having a problem with my friendīs computer:
gnome-volume-manager doesnīt auto-mount cd/dvd/floppy/anything.
i have installed gnome-volume-manager via apt and added user to plugdev-group. gvm is running and registered in gnome.
audio cd:s start to play when inserted, but they donīt mount on the desktop. other types donīt do anything.
computer has two drives, one dvd-reader and one cd-rw.
on my own computer it works perfectly, all cd:s /dvd:s/my digicam are mounted nicely.
could this be solved with running k3b setup (which modifies mount/cd-drive permissions in some way) ?
when my friend clicks cd-drive from file manager, it says he doesnīt have permission to mount. however i think that the mountig via nautilus uses mount-command and gvm uses pmount, so they shouldnīt be connected to each other.
i will provide more info if needed.
fstab has type of cd-drive filesystems set to auto instead of iso9660. otherwise this is basically the default current testing installation without much mods.
thanks.
