Freedesktop.org

ok, i *really* want to get Freedesktop.org working.

I got the xserver compiled from CVS. ( Long story short it kept giving me TCP errors and i had to get an older version of xtrans ). Theres a script you can use to get and compile xserver at http://www.freedesktop.org/Software/XserverInstallGuide which i had to use then modify and get a month old version of xtrans. Basically heres my problem:
http://www.philyoung.net/gallery/ScreenShots/fdo Thats fluxbox running. anyidea what going on?

Try reinstalling Fluxbox - also check that the directories that error message refers to actually exist.

Hey grassmunk,

What did you after you built freedesktop.org's xserver? Despite fluxbox not working correctly, how did you get to that point?
