Flash player install problems

I downloaded the tar from the adobe website and when extracted the only thing that shows up is libflashplayer.so. I can't seem to extract the installer. Sorry this is my second question posted in a day, but I've been spoiled by Ubuntu.

There is a slackbuild you can use for flash player.

http://slackbuilds.org/repository/13...player-plugin/

Edit: to the OP. To make it easier for us to help you please state what version of Slackware you are using when making a post.
Thank you.

I had the same experience as amiga32 when I downloaded from Adobe earlier in the week and at first thought _I'd_ done something wrong. I also moved the file to /usr/lib/mozilla/plugins and everything has been fine all week. The only thing I've noticed is that Firefox freezes a lot more often on some Flash-enabled sites in 13.0 than it does in 12.2.

Okay well I moved the file into the correct directory, and still flash does not work =/. Since this is my first time running Slackware I'm happy this is the only problem I haven't been able to get solved quickly.

Make sure you have the correct one installed. The 64 bit plugin is on an alternate location. http://labs.adobe.com/technologies/f...yer10/faq.html
