Eth0 Not working?


OK well i know this is a broad topic but.... I upgraded using swaret to current and which came kernel 2.4.27 i believe? anyways i rebooted and my internet didnt work? it said dhcp: sio...... file not found? what does this mean? do you guys know what im talking about if not ill copy it exactly just tell me if you wanna know..... hmm since i upgraded usuing swaret it shoulda got all my modules and everything but... something f**ked up and i tried modprobe tulip and couldnt find it... i dont know why this happend but i wanted to get the new kernel 2.6.X im not sure if i wanan tho b/c of this whole internet bul!sh!t. Anyways if anyone know what im talking about please help me thanks!

did you run 'lilo' after upgrading your kernel?

what swaret version did you use?

try

ifconfig eth0 up

Ok i did run lilo. Im not sure what version i used but i believe its the newest version. I didnt use ifconfig eth0 up i tried dhcpcd eth0 up? is that almost the same thing? Thank-you for the reply!
