eth0 is not working

I installed slackware 10.1 on my Dell Laptop, I'm using hardwire here so no wireless cards, but anyways, it says eth0 is not found, how do I bring it up? I mean I've never had a problem with slackware on my laptop until 10.0 and 10.1

try modprobe tulip, then netconfig
If it fails, post the output with :
lsmod
lspci | grep net

From what i've read new kernels includes a module to support it called b44. Try:
Code:
/sbin/modprobe b44
If it doesn't say anything it means the module is there and was loaded (check with lsmod). Run netconfig to configure your network.

If you don't have the module, you can download and compile it from Bradcom's page: http://www.broadcom.com/drivers/downloaddrivers.php
