ebeded video in opera

is there anyway to get opera to play embeded video files. for example those shown on apple.com/trailrs

You're probably going to need the mplayer plugin for mozilla and the correct codecs. Try a google linux search for opera and mplayer and you'll find what you need.

I have found an answer to this finally.

here is how it is done

Make sure that you have gecko-sdk 1.6 newer versions will not work properly with Opera
Download the source code then do these following commands in the source code directory:
./configure --enable-x [--with-gecko-sdk={path} ]
make
cp mplayerplug-in.so /usr/lib/opera/plugins
ln -s /usr/lib/mozilla/libxpcom.so /usr/lib

Cool that you worked that out. I had tried using plugin compiled with a more recent version of mozilla and had no luck. Glad to hear of a soultion for this as I dislike using firefox.
