Hi guys,
Well, This has been anoying me for quite awhile now. I've tryed everything I found in forums plus some other stupid but quite entertaining experiments. OK My problem:
I'm trying to run 2 monitors with 2 differents video cards (onboard ATI RAGE AGP, NVidia Gforce2 PCI)
The thing is, my nvidia card is set as default/primary (somehow or by default, don't know)
and it's working fine, but my ATI RAGE does not seams to want to initialize.
my hardware:
Compaq presario K6-2 500MHz
192 MB RAM
onboard ATI RAGE LT (AGP)
NVidia Gforce2 400 MX

I cannot access the video card throu the the BIOS.

I didn't read the whole message above, just would like to know,

1. on machine boot-up before Slackware, do you have display on both monitor?
2. when slackware is coming up, do you have display on both monitor?
3. when you startx, what happen to the display?

i've been there before, and only erally came out the otehr side by trying various combinations... let the ati card be primary (bios settings) and let it run through that way. also try changing the serverlayout and have the ati card be screen0 and so initialise before the nvidia one.

Well, I tryed that, but nope.... it did not work
