download problem

when i make downloads and try to install packages it doesn't seem to be there , tried ls for all downloads i did in the past two or three days and they don't exist . can anyone give me a clue of what is going on ? i start the download as always (mozilla) after the fist box show up i choose where i want it to download and wait .... for nothing , when i go to the directory where it was supposed to download i don't see it at all . i guess though , it's happening only with .tar.gz files cause i downloaded ok .dwg files this afternoon . BTW does anyone know how how can i work .dwg on linux ? thanks for your patience ,really.

Tenta isso véio:

find / -iname "*.dwg" -exec ls -l {} \;

a parte do "-exec" em diante é opcional, só pra te mostrar os atributos essas coisas...

==============

Try this:

find / -iname "*.dwg" -exec ls -l {} \;

the "-exec" and so is optional, just to show file atributes.

I posted in Portuguese cause I assume you can read it. And postd in English in respect to other readers.

Anyway, I have no idea about these files. Try :

file file.dwg

It can give you some tips (most packs are tar.bz2 ou tar.gz files renamed to fancy things...)

HTH,

I think in mozilla the downloads are saved in a temporary file (probably in ~/.mozilla/default/???????/Cache) while being download and only are saved in the location selected by you when the download is complete.

Probably the download is aborted for some reason.
