Deploying slackware server ?

Hi,
I'm a newbe in this area.
I want to deploy slackware server.
What is common practice - install with graphical user interface(gui) or without ?

I think it's common to have either setup. I don't have X on mine, but I think lots of other people do. The way I do it which is to ssh into the server and do configurations by the command line.

I typically do it without the GUI, unless I'm using a specific GUI application (ie. Fwbuilder for iptables), and in that case, I still leave (or change if its a non-slackware server) the default runlevel to init3.
