During some slackware 9.1 customization, and upgrading mozilla & kde via swaret to "current", I have run into a problem. I was unhappy with title bar font, and changed it to Bitstream Vera Sans, to match all the great looking fonts throughout the system. It seems after this, my title bar fonts are acceptable, BUT the rest of my fonts look like really bad, all choppy and "degraded. No changes in what font is assigned via KDE Control Center. I have reviewed similar posts by search, no concrete answer was given.

Please, I think this is a bug, how do I work around it?

Let me add that the crappy fonts seem to be affecting only kde programs such as konquerer, and k-mail, etc. Hope that helps make my point a little clearer.

Nevermind, reinstalled (again) ! (I guess that is one way of going about it.) I think there is some sort of a bug in either KDE 3.1.5 or Slack 9.1, since I have seen others posting similar issues.
