Defgault Application configuration

Greets,
I am using Slackware 8.0 with windowmaker and I am having a devil of a time with the setting of default applications. For example when I view the source on a page the source shows up in xedit, when I would much rather use emacs. Could someone please tell me where I can find the config file in slack to adjust my prefs. My file manager of choice is 'mc' and I would love to set all my prefs for that all too. I am fine in the browser so that I can set the prefs there (opera 6) but mc is giving me fits. I looked in the wmconfig, and no joy. I recently switched to slack after years of using RedHat and Suse, and I love it. I just want to make it pay attention to my preferences. Thanks in advance.

Mike

As far as "mc" "[F9]|Command" is where you will fnd menu edit options.

WindowMaker, should have a menu optoin to edit menu,
try right clicking to bring up pop up menu.

Also do a find for WindowMaker directory:

find / -name WindowMaker -type d

I almost if you want emacs to be you EDITOR in .bashrc or .bash_profile:

export EDITOR=emacs

and
set -o emacs will give you Emacs keybinding at the command line
