Yes I know this - I don't think the sarcasm gets through in certain posts
Although fortunes are just messages seeing this on screen may elicit some panic - or maybe not

One of the first things I do when installing another distro is get fortunes going in the terminal. On Ubuntu & Debian I edit ~/.bashrc, using the example from the Advanced Bash Scripting Guide, and for Cygwin on XP I just more or less copy Slack's script to Cygwin's /etc/profile.d.
