Current trouble

Having upgraded to current Slack packages issued today I noticed the following:

1. I cannot compile a libsndfile-1.0.17 library as I did before. The error messages are here:

flac.c:63: error: expected specifier-qualifier-list before 'FLAC__SeekableStreamDecoder'
flac.c:111: error: expected '=', ',', ';', 'asm' or '__attribute__' before 'sf_flac_read_callback'
flac.c:125: warning: type defaults to 'int' in declaration of 'FLAC__SeekableStreamEncoder'
flac.c:125: error: expected ';', ',' or ')' before '*' token
flac.c: In function 'flac_buffer_copy':
flac.c:171: error: 'FLAC_PRIVATE' has no member named 'frame'
flac.c:172: error: 'FLAC_PRIVATE' has no member named 'wbuffer'

2. I cannot launch a Kadu-0.6 messenger which depends on this library.

Do I have to revert my Slack to a yesterday's state or try to find or wait for some kind of workaround ?

Cheers

Looks like a flac bug ... they'll probably find and fix it pretty soon. Or everything that needed to be rebuilt for the new flac didn't get rebuilt.

It is not a FLAC bug... FLAC was recently upgraded in Slackware -current and the new FLAC library has a new API. Some applications have not yet been modified to work with the new API.

In http://www.slackware.com/~alien/slac...sndfile/build/ I have updated my libsndfile.SlackBuild to use a patch for this API issue if flac is newer than 1.1.2. The patch file can be found at that location as well.

I also added a ready-to-use package for slackware-current which was built successfully using this patch.
