Cant create Slack8.1 bootdisk
I am having problems with Slackware 8.1 that I got from the september edition of LinuxFormat.It says the DVD is bootable but it's not, so I am trying to make a bootdisk but cant, I know I need a bootdisk with bare.1 & then 5 rootdisks but I cant create the first bootdisk, here's the problem, bare.1 is 1474560 bytes in size, a floppy can only hold 1440000 bytes so the image is too big, I've tried putting bare.i on a floppy from windows and linux but, surprise surprise, I run out of space on the floppy.
Does anyone else have this problem, I tried it with bare.i from the DVD and from Slackwares site.
Sorry if this has been asked already but I couldnt find anythng relevant when I done a search on this site.
