Cannot run ndiswrapper 0.8 for Linksys WPC54G

I have tried various permutation for this setup and I am still not able to activate this card.

I am running on Slackware 9.1 with kernel 2.4.24. I have tried ndiswrapper 0.8 and 0.9-pre2 without any success.

The inf files are bcmw15.inf from R63259.exe and also from my own Linksys installation CD - lsbcmnds.inf. When I do a modprobe ndiswrapper (using bcmw15.inf) and check the
logs:

ndiswrapper version 0.9-pre2 loaded
cs: cb_free(bus 2)
cs: cb_alloc(bus 2): vendor 0x14e4, device 0x4320
PCI: Enabling device 02:00.0 (0000 -> 0002)

A ndiswrapper -l shows:
Installed ndis drivers:
bcmw15 hardware NOT present

This is real puzzling as it works on the Window XP partition, any help is appreciated........
