Security patches for Slackware are provided for quite a long time, so you can certainly use 13.0 for the foreseeable future

Sure you can use Slackware 13.0. But why? Reason to roll back two versions?

What problems are you experiencing with 13.37?

You may certainly use 13.0 as the Slackware team provides security patches for it, and they will continue to do so for years to come.
If you feel so inclined please let us know what problems you're having with 13.37 and we will try to help you.

1. Possibly need firmware for the eth0 device
2. Again you may need to setup bluetooth

FYI: I suggest that you look at 'How to Ask Questions the Smart Way' so in the future your queries provide information that will aid us in diagnosis of the problem or query.

sounds like the kernel doesn't have driver support for your hardware. If this is the case, rolling back won't solve it.

I've never been able to get bluetooth to work correctly in slackware. Gave up trying a while back. But again, if it doesn't work for you in 13.37, its unlikely to work in an earlier version (unless you're using legacy hardware that was phased out of the kernel version used in 13.37)

Setting up bluetooth is addressed in the LQWiki Slackware FAQ:

http://wiki.linuxquestions.org/wiki/...-FAQ#Bluetooth

dmesg will list errors encountered when the kernel detects your hardware. If firmware is needed, you'll be notified.

lspci (possibly with switches for increased verbosity) will list the hardware devices in your system. Cross-referencing that information with Google will help you get your network cards working. Obviously, we can help if post the relevant parts (the parts that tell you which chipsets are in your network cards).

1. Can you try to log in as root and run netconfig to check if your card gets configured?

2. Check out this thread regarding bluetooth setup: http://www.linuxquestions.org/questi...roblem-816013/
