Can't change the cursor theme

Hello there, I'm running slackware 12.1 and even if i change the mouse themes to the kde default ones (by control center/peripherals/mouse/cursor theme/white glass) some cursors (such as resizing windows) keep the old X style. how do i get the fully default kde cursors? thanks
