Now,there's another problem. It looks like biber is missing. In my opinion this is a very serious omission. I tried to compile my thesis and I couldn't because biber was nowhere to be found. I think its importance is such that it should be included even in the base package. Could you please look into this?
Otherwise, I am not seeing major problems with your setup and it looks like it could be a great solution for doing some heavy LaTeXing. Thanks again for your efforts. You, sir, are amazing!
What are the differences between the packages from franzen and the ones from rworkman or compiled with slackbuilds? I always install the TexLive packages from rworkman but now that I have upgraded my machines to Slack 64 14.2 I am deciding which ones to install. Thank you all for your hard work!

I'll add biber(2.5), but i tend to put it in texlive-extra as there are the most biblatex-packages.

Thanks!
Currently ConTeXt ist excluded as i'm not sure how it should be included. Gentoo and Arch are creating the ConTeXt-package by the ConteXT-provided installer-scripts.
I never used ConTexT, is somebody here with some experience with that who could explain what the typical workflow is, ideally with an example-documented?

The difference ist mainly that the SBo-texlive is from 2014 and mine is 2016, also i try to provide a small basepackage(about 70mb) gaining tetex-functionality. If all works well the 2016-Slackbuilds will hopefully find the way to SBo.

Thanks!! I'm eagerly expecting the new build.

I'm not a ConTeXt user but I remember it was included even in the old tetex. So I think it should be included somehow, perhaps in texlive-extra.
I tryed rworkman's slacbuild...commented patches. Changed for texlive 2016. It worked till xindy. On xindy step it gives error mktexlsr.pl not found.
Commented xindy staff . made packege. Installed.
After that tryed to compile xindy. New error

I've just uploaded build 5, biber is added to the basepackage as it is prepackaged by upstream as binary and therefore doesn't fit in a noarch-package.
It's biber 2.4 because this version is mentioned in texlive.tlpdb.

Thank you! I'm going to download it as soon as possible.
