Build login manager


Hi! Can you suggest me a resources (source code, pdf...) to build an own login manager, on web I don't find noting.

Maybe give us an example of a program that your login manager would be an alternative to?

So I try tuning XDM,so unable to render widget transparent (backgroud it's set by qiv); SLIM at logout show some warnings (I'm not able to capture it in order to copy&past here); other SO login manager are too complex.

To get transparency in XDM you need to start a compositor like compton or picom. If you're searching for an advanced configuration for XDM, check out this thread.
