Its funny, last night I was attemping to get my bluetooth working. The light is always on on my laptop, but it doesnt show up with my phone or anything. I am not a big BT user (except for my mouse/keyboard on my windows machine) but its nice to have everything working.
I was just downloading and installing a bunch of stuff and it just didnt work. Although I use gnome, everything before the KDE stuff is pretty much right for me. Thank you.
Glad it was of some help to you. Thanks for letting me know.

I actually originally wrote it without the kde part since it does not support my phone. The bluez-utils build actually required a little tweaking to get it working right with kdebluetooth and I havn't decided to change it or not. Maybe I should just add it on as a side note so the guide will still be usefull to non kdebluetooth users.

I remember reading a thread the other night when you were asking how to remove all the extra crap. You had mentioned you were trying to get bluetooth working and I almost posted a link to my post. I decided not to though since it was not really relevant to the thread topic. Guess I was wrong.

**edit**
I've actually decided to rearange it a bit so kdebluetooth is in basic usage. This way I can add in other bluetooth clients down the road. Thanks for the idea!

This would be much better in the Tutorials section - it would be much less likely to be lost among all the other threads. Feel free to submit it there.
Ok thanks, I just did. Hopefully it will get approved.
That section seemed kind of "official" so that's why I never submitted it there. I'm still kind of new to writing these kinds of things and it will probably need to be cleaned up a bit.
