bluetooth dongle + bluetooth speaker but no sound on the bluetooth speaker

Trying to get the sound out on the bluetooth speaker but it's the computer's speakers that output the sound.

I'm using slackware 14.2
The speaker is Bose SoundLink speaker III
the dongle is I.t. Works BT 150

The connection is activated.

When I click on the bluetooth icon, everything looks ok:
packets are sent and received
When I run the Pulse Audio Mixer, I see the device and the sound is not
muted.

Run pavucontrol (might be the same as Pulse Audio Mixer) and make sure you select the bluetooth speaker as your output device.

I did run the audio mixer (pavucontrol) and in the Output Devices
I can see both the Built-in Audio
and the external Speaker
For each of the devices I have 3 buttons:
Mute Button, Lock Channels Together, and Set as Fallback

I don't see anything that would allow me to switch the output device

I'm not at my computer now, but I believe under the output tab, you can right click on the output device you want and mark it as default.

I found a way to solve this, for those interested:

Code:
cd
mkdir -p .config/pulse

cat > default.pa <<EOF
.include /etc/pulse/default.pa
load-module module-switch-on-connect
EOF
After I wrote this configuration file, I turned off my computer, plugged the dongle in
and turned the computer on again, connected the speaker to the audio sink
When I played an audio file I could hear on the external speaker
