Blank screen on reboot after 2.6 compile

I just compiled kernel 2.6.0 and set everything up (updated utilities and lilo setup). Once I reboot and choose this kernel, all I get is a blank screen. It seems like linux is loading normally in the background, but I can't see a thing. I've checked up and I did make sure to include

CONFIG_VGA_CONSOLE=y
CONFIG_VT=y
CONFIG_VT_CONSOLE=y

in the kernel config. Any help would be appreciated.

Hi Myrkul23

If you go to the Kernel Compile guide for 2.6.0 at the top of the Slackware Forum, and click on the second page, there's a very detailed explanation of how to get around this problem.

Cheers
