auto mounting cd rom drive in Slackware 10

Hi,

I'm a slackware n00b.
I've got slackware 10 up and running, x configured.
I'd like to have my cd rom drive auto mount itself when I pop in a cd rom after the computer boots up when I'm running as a regular user.
Here's my fstab

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,ro

Any and all help appreciated.

Thank you.

Change this line:

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,owner,ro

To read:

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,user,ro

Then, pop in a cd and go!

Now to get the cd out, you have to manually unmount. I do this by right-clicking a desktop icon and selecting "unmount".

aaarrrggghhhh

Unfortuntely that didn't work.
I can listen to music on my cd player as root, but, when I log on as user and start up my cd player the cd player app starts, but, then it says drive error.
I probably need to adjust my permissions somewhere.

That will work - check to make sure there were no typos.

/dev/cdrom /mnt/cdrom iso9660 noauto,user,ro 0 0

And make sure your user is in audio group in /etc/group
