[SOLVED] receiving via bluetooth

I use Ubu 16.04

I wanted to get some photos from my phone to my laptop. I paired them.

I can send a file to my phone from the laptop, but I cannot send from my phone to the laptop. I just get a message, "unsuccessful".

Do I need to tweak something in Ubuntu? Or is this a phone problem? I have a Xiao Mi Redmi Note 3

On the laptop, the little bluetooth symbol at the top of the screen has a padlock symbol at the bottom.

If I go to Bluetooth settings, I see a button 'send files', but there is no 'receive files' button.

Try installing Airdroid:-

When Airdroid stopped working for me I switched to KDE Connect. Works great but you have to have the KDE DE and all it's lib's installed.
