I'm not sure what happened to Dave, but it'll be reasonably simple to update the installer to use 14.0's installer initrd.
When running the installer, if it has Internet access you can replace the old version of the script with the newer one before you get started with config & installation:
That should be enough to give you the XFCE window manager option.

Thank you very much for the advice and insight. I have added a new section to the Slackware ARM on a Raspberry Pi guide (this page:
http://rpi.fatdog.eu/?p=install) for users to setup their NIC and download your updated SeTPKG file before continuing to the installer. I hope this meets with your agreement. I have credited you in this new section for your welcomed assistance.
After reading your opinion on how it will be reasonably simple to update the installer to use 14.0's installer initrd I would be very interested in learning how to achieve it. This is something currently outside the scope of my understanding. If you could advise on how this could be done I would be very grateful.
Many thanks once more. Also thanks to all for their support with Slackware ARM running on the Raspberry Pi. Much respect.
