Installing Slackware ARM on a Raspberry Pi

This is something currently outside the scope of my understanding. If you could advise on how this could be done I would be very grateful.

This is how you would update it:

root@pepa:/tmp# wget http://rpi.fatdog.eu/files/slackwarearm-install.zip
root@pepa:/tmp# mkdir I
root@pepa:/tmp# cd I
root@pepa:/tmp/I# unzip ../slackwarearm-install.zip
root@pepa:/tmp/I# mkdir Q
root@pepa:/tmp/I# cd Q
root@pepa:/tmp/I/Q# zcat ../initrd.gz | cpio -di
root@pepa:/tmp/I/Q# wget -O- http://armed.slackware.com/misc/SeTPKG > usr/lib/setup/SeTPKG
root@pepa:/tmp/I/Q# find . | cpio -o -H newc | gzip -9 > ../initrd.gz 
root@pepa:/tmp/I/Q#

Then zip it all up again if you want to.

LXDE is a nice lightweight DE for SlackwareARM on the Raspberry Pi. Seems to load a bit faster than Xfce. Ponce has packages for it here:

Apologies to all for taking so long in getting around to updating the website and making a new installer image available for Slackware ARM on a Raspberry Pi. This work has now been completed, thanks to the help and advice of many of you here.
