When i try to install redhat4.0 in my P.C which is dual core 1GB ram
and SEGATE 160GB HDD. i9 get an error message no hard disk found installation does not continue...... mine already has a windows XP... try to sort out my problem.....
First welcome to LQ, this isn't the right place to ask for help, use search first you might find what you're looking for, I would say format the partition where you installed RH.
What about RHEL-5? I'm currently having difficulties installing on a new machine with SATA hard disk and SATA dvd-burner, and if that's the problem then...
Hi. If u have RHEL 4.0 it may be possible to not have s-ata drivers installed on the default cd. You have 2 options:
1. Get a copy for RHEL 4.5 - the latest version - this one should work
2. Get a floppy and copy the drivers for Linux for your HDD. Then when you boot your linux cd, try to specify that you want to boot with drivers from the floppy.
