Some help about new RPM version on RH 7.*

Hi

I need to instal a software clamav on my RH 7.* servers but I can't because it needs the :

rpm --import option to import a PUBKEY
and the rpm version is 4.0.2

do I need to install a new version of RPM on my Linux box

Let's say 4.2.1 I saw it was on fedora latest distribution, is it safe ???

or I can do something else ?

thanks in advance
