a litlle problem in RedHad 7.2

hi all !
i have installed rh 7.2 with kernel 2.4.7-10
i am trying to connect to my dsl provider using pptp, i installed pptp and edited /etc/ppp/chap-secrets and /etc/ppp/pap-secrets to include :"<username>@I<ISP>" "10.0.0.138 RELAY_PPP1" "<your password>"
and tried to make a call using the command:"pptp 10.0.0.138 --quirks=BEZEQ_ISRAEL debug user <username>@I<ISP> noauth mtu 1452 mru 1452", i did not get any error message the /var/log/messages sais this:
Sep 3 18:52:54 localhost pptp[1696]: log[pptp_dispatch_ctrl_packetptp_ctrl.c:580]: Client connection established.
Sep 3 18:52:55 localhost pptp[1696]: log[pptp_dispatch_ctrl_packetptp_ctrl.c:708]: Outgoing call established (call ID 0, peer's call ID 0)
Sep 3 18:52:55 localhost pppd[1697]: pppd 2.4.1 started by root, uid 0
Sep 3 18:52:55 localhost pppd[1697]: Using interface ppp0
Sep 3 18:52:55 localhost pppd[1697]: Connect: ppp0 <--> /dev/pts/2
Sep 3 18:52:58 localhost pppd[1697]: LCP terminated by peer
Sep 3 18:53:01 localhost pppd[1697]: Connection terminated.
Sep 3 18:53:02 localhost pppd[1697]: Exit
Sep 3 18:53:02 localhost pptp[1694]: log[decaps_hdlcptp_gre.c:129]: short read (4294967295): Input/output error
Sep 3 18:53:02 localhost pptp[1696]: log[callmgr_mainptp_callmgr.c:245]: Closing connection
Sep 3 18:53:02 localhost pptp[1696]: log[pptp_conn_closeptp_ctrl.c:307]: Closing PPTP connection
Sep 3 18:53:04 localhost pptp[1696]: log[call_callbackptp_callmgr.c:88]: Closing connection

The question is:
i noticed in the peer directory theres only wvdial i think its the modem dialer, should there be something else there like adsl dialer ?
what is lcp? why was it terminated by peer?
what is this line how can i debug it? log[decaps_hdlcptp_gre.c:129]: short read (4294967295): Input/output error

its quite long i know but i have not broken yet i had many trouble getting to where i am having to boot windows again and again with no internet please if anyone knows ill be glad to provide more details

thanks in advance

It looks like there's a problem during logging in, before the connection is estabilished. Make sure you have configured everything as your provider asks. It was "terminated by peer", so your provided closed the connection. In pap-secrets the format is:
user * password
your_ip
(that's the format I use myself).
