NTP force update

In RedHat Linux 9, I have configured to synchronize the clock with a remote time server using the NTP (the server is "clock1.redhat.com".

What command could I issue such that, I could force the NTP to update the date and time?

i never run ntpdate, i prefer to run ntp as a daemon (ntpd) and i just run it for a hour or two just to keep the clock accurate, not like i am doing any scientific experiments needing time set to perfection but i like accurate time, in /etc/ntp.conf i have the following:

server 0.us.pool.ntp.org
server 1.us.pool.ntp.org
server 2.us.pool.ntp.org

you may want to go to ntp's website and find an australian server list that is similar.

you can add -x to the options in /etc/sysconfig/ntpd. that will call ntpdate when ntpd starts up for a one time sync.
