Lineox 4053AS install probelems

Couldnt find anywhere specific for lineox so though this area migh suit.

Just installed the above on an intel system, install went fine. Grub (Ive always used LILO beofre) was installed but didnt work--I had to use bootpart and add it to the NTLOADER menu on win xp, however once I got grub working the kernel started to load, then I got error "failing to sync" and then kernel panic and freezes up. I have no idea what this means, and so am wondering if I should just give up on the FC4/RHEL family or if there is something I could do (took a while to download the iso image...)

Appreciate any idea
