Question libgcc_s.so.1 in RHEL3

Hello,

Just a really simple question which I can't seem to find an answer to online.

Is libgcc_s.so.1 included in the standard installation of RHEL 3 (Or RH AS3)?

Answer muchly appreciated.

It is on my installed RHEL3 systems. It comes with the gcc package so if you don't have it after install you can just install gcc go get it. However, gcc, being the GNU C Compiler, is fairly standard for most installations as you need it to compile kernels and source packages.

If you have the RHEL3 installed type:

rpm -ql gcc

If gcc is installed it will show all the files including the library you asked about and give you the path where it is.
