Lightbulb install printer driver


I downloaded a driver for my printer,it is a tar.gz,I need help installing it and then what do I do? thanks david

normally you unpack .tar.gz by doing
tar zxf drivername.tar.gz

however, are you sure this is the only thing you have to do? Maybe you should visit www.linuxprinting.org for a solid guide to get your printer to work.

I went to the lexmark site and this is the driver for RH9 CJLZ35LE-CUPS-1.0-0.tar.gz,I need a printer only to print web pages for help as I am lost most of the time and get tired of writing everything down,mayby for me it would be best to buy a cheap printer that will work without me having to do much,any suggestions?thanks david

IN the readme file it says to install the driver run comand -sh z35 cups-1.0-1 tat.gz.sh when I do this it can't find the file?
