how to start an X-windows


the problem is i am using redhat 9.0, and i change the runlevel to 3. when i need to run x-windows i am using startx command to start x. the proglem is when i using startx redhat run default run KDE, however i want to use GNOME and i don't want to change to runlevel 5, can does anybody know how to solve this problem??

try the command xwmconfig, that should give you a list of them to choose from
