how to install redhat 9.0 from hard drive
hi,
I want to install redhat 9 on my computer which is running Windows XP right now. I have three redhat installation CD's but CD1 is probably not bootable and so I can not boot from the CD. However, my computer does boot from other bootable CD's. My floopy drive is not working.
How do I perform a HD installation? I have PCQ linux 7.1 cd from which I can boot and tried by choosing expert mode. As I copied all the redhat CD1 into C:\tlin\all_of_the_cd1, I typed /tlin/. when prompted during hd installation but ended up with the error message '' /tmp/hda1 does not contain any redhat images...".
I would be very much happy if some one can give me some idea how do I install redhat 9 in this situation. Note, I am new in XP and do not know if I can boot my PC to MS-DOS so that I could try to use 'autoboot' of redhat CD.
Regards.
