How do you rollback up2date updates

Hey guys (and gals),
I have updated everything on RHN up2date EXCEPT the kernel and source.

Earlier I tried and it all messed up. I want to know how to roll back the update and what changes it will make to LILO.

It is installed in the first 512bytes of /hdb2 instead of the MBR, so I can use the NT bootloader. So can I revert to the stable state before the update? I don't want another full install/update again!

TIA,
Andy.
