Crash! Error loading journal

Well, it looks like a real disaster. My RH7.2 workstation started to act really flaky and I rebooted only to run into the following errors:

/dev/hda2:
attempt to access beyond end of device
...
JFS: IO error reading journal superblock
EXT3-fs: error loading journal
attempt to access beyond end of device
...
EXT3-fs: get root inode failed

I think the drive is O.K. but am not completely sure. I booted from a tomsrtbt floppy; fdisk shows the partitions all right, but I get the same errors if I try to mount the filesystems manually.

Is there any known way to recover from this, or do I have to reinstall?

Thanks.
