Hi,
puppy is it debian like, I mean may I use apt-get to install package?
Or how to install
What is the graphical manager used?
I need A saml graphic manager to my miniPC, kdm, gnome are too heavy
The 'standard' live-CD has JWM, but Fvwm95 and IcwWM are available as packages: http://www.puppylinux.com/faq.htm Non-standard versions may also have others like xfce.
You can't use apt-get in Puppy, but it has its own package manager which automatically installs the packages available as .pet packages.
I ve installed the pb-debianinstaller, but I ran it following the doc, I got error :
sh: line 0 cd: /tmp/PB-Debinstall no such file or directoty
and a popup window :
ghttpd is not configured to run localhost
to use widget edit /root/ghttpd/http.cfg and set line SERVER_HOSTNAME="localhost"
the file /root/ghttpd/http.cfg doesn't exist , I created it , but same problem. I think tere is no server to accept the request. I check the /etc/init.d no server at all!!!!
