Windows WaitForSingleObject() command

I am converting a Windows program to run on Linux.
There are two functions in Windows:
WaitForSingleObject()
and
WaitForMultipleObjects()
which wait for, in my case, an interupt generated by a frame grabber, before returning.
What would I use in Linux to do this?

Generally, you sleep while a flag is not set, and then have an interrupt handler set the flag.
