SNMP from PHP

Hi

I installed NET-SNMP 5.0.8 on my mandrake linux server running apache 4.3.3.

Everything looks OK, but none of the snmp functions in PHP works.
I think I have to enable some module in PHP to activate the SNMP functions,
or maybe is in the Apache. I don't know.

I need help!!!

Is your php compiled as a apache module or CGI?

Does snmp work from the command line? Try

snmpget -v 2c -c public localhost sysContact.0

If it doesn't work from the command line, you should get that working before you try php. If you didn't configure access control for net-snmp, adding 'rocommunity public' to your snmpd.conf file will probably get you going.
