SendKeys under Kde

I need to write a GUI that controls other window applcations under KDE. I was hoping that i could find some way to send keystrokes to other appications. (much alike SendKey in windows). Can someone point me in the right direction. Is this feasable ?

What you probably need to look at is DCOP which is the IPC that KDE uses. Sending keystrokes, is at best inaccurate.

Hi cgNinja,
I am a newbie like you, and I have the same problem, that is to use simulated keystrokes (and also, if it is possible, mouse simulation) to control another application (possibly not limited to KDE applications, as you can register your application at the DCOP server)...
I made this query in a dozen of forums, and at best I received an answer like that you received.
At least , you received a useful (also if generic) advice: to look at DCOP...
I am collecting documentation and studying DCOP, but the way is still long, especially for such a "inaccurate" task (sending keystrokes).
I hope you solved your problem, but if that not the case, if I succeed I let you know.
